Prom Night

Looking for a good solid movie? Prom night may be for you. I still remember when I saw this movie in theaters. It left a lasting impression, and after all that's what we look for in a movie right? Right from the get go, this movie has you interested and keeps you guessing about the outcomes.

A personal favorite of mine is foreshadowing. This movie has tons of it. My girlfriend and I watched this movie recently, and we realized just how apparent the foreshadowing was. The very first scene includes at least 3. And the number only increases from there. Sometimes they came off as cheesy, but it was interesting to try to follow them through out the film. It just fuels the fire as it adds more questions to what these obvious foreshadowing cues will lead to. As the story progresses you get anxious about what the outcome will be.

You follow a girl on her prom night, as she begins the adventure of life in the real world out by herself, while she also combats the loss of her parents due to murder. Little does she know that this murderer is stalking her on her prom night. As events unfold, I became more and more anxious, and even frustrated about the things that the man was getting away with.

Now I am big on not spoiling the movie, so i'll leave the details there and go on with my own personal reactions. It infuses the perfect amount of side story, romance, challenges, twists and of course scares.

So this winter break if you're looking for a good movie to curl up to with some hot chocolate. Give this one a try.
